This one of the first tracks I produced, and although a lot has changed since them I'm still proud of it.
I wrote it about my ex who wasn't necessarily the best thing for me, but it felt good when we were together. Once I had to leave the country and we broke up I started seeing her in other people I saw. I then realised how we were better off without each other, but I still miss her every now and then.
I recorded the music video on my last day in LA when everything was still raw. I felt like I didn't need to perform the lyrics because the visuals were everything the song was about.
Written, produced, mixed & mastered by myself. This track is probably one of the more heartfelt ones I have made.
On a phone call to my ex girlfriend, she asked 'How Did We Get Here?' as we were in a situation I felt we weren't mature enough to handle. It tore me apart and made me question myself.
Despite listening to it way too many times throughout the process, I still love it, and the string part always reminds me of the situation I was in that inspired the track.
It Can Only Get Better (demos)
Written, produced, mixed & mastered by myself. This project showcases my artistic expression and is my feelings personified over the past couple years
Working a 9-5+ job, while maintaining a consistent amount of studio time can be really challenging, and makes socialising even more difficult. Relationships have broken down because of it and I have definitely felt myself becoming more introverted by the day.

Regardless, I wouldn't have it any other way, and this project is the proudest I have been with my work. Despite the tracks produced and written in LA being more 'commercially attractive', the rawness in this project, with all those perfect imperfections in the production and mixing make me love it that bit more.

It really can only get better. The music and (hopefully) my mental health...
